Community-Based Research Network
The Community-Based Research Network (CBRN) is the bridge between academic researchers and community-based organizations seeking partnerships to achieve health equity.
Mission of the Community Based Research Network:
· Expand the reach and capacity of the Chicago Chronic Condition Equity Network (C3EN) to achieve its goal of identifying solutions to address inequities in multiple chronic conditions in the Chicagoland area, with a particular focus on cardiometabolic health
· Facilitate research collaborations across sectors, organizations (academic institutions, community organizations, clinics) and regions
The CBRN consists of community stakeholders who are interested in or currently partnering with researchers in projects that serve the C3EN mission. With the community serving as our guiding voice, the CBRN team works with both sides of the partnership to build a sustainable network of community organizations, federally qualified health centers, healthcare organizations, and others interested in and prepared to participate in research to end health disparities.
